Students explore the engineering design process in a realistic, project-based capstone course. Choosing their own problem and own groups, students develop a tested solution to a real-life problem that affects individuals, creating a marketable product backed by market research, user outreach, and adequate test procedures that demonstrate the viability of the product. Groups operate in a SCRUM system with emphasis on sprints and and multiple iterations with the assistance of mentors, employed engineers at respected companies like Northrop Grumman, NASA, and the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab,
